Ten columns form a staircase of 55 cards, with ten visible and 45 hidden. The remaining 49 cards arrive in rows from the stock.
A new row can cover your progress
- Build down in alternating colors. Ordered alternating-color runs can move together.
- Any card or legal run can fill an empty column. Empty spaces do not prevent dealing here.
- The stock adds one card to each column, with a partial final row and no redeal.
- Build eight suited foundations from ace to king to finish both decks.
The longer columns need working room
Before dealing, look for a run that can move off a hidden card. A spare column may let you release that blocker without waiting for a new receiver. Avoid spending that space on a harmless rearrangement when one of the long columns still hides several cards.
