Four rows each have fourteen spaces. Arrange one suit from ace through king across the first thirteen positions, leaving the final position empty.
A gap follows its left neighbor
- Any ace can occupy an empty leftmost space.
- Elsewhere, place only the next higher card of the same suit as the card immediately to the left.
- A gap after a king cannot be filled. Cards cannot move onto occupied positions.
Keep the order that survives a reshuffle
You have three reshuffles. A correctly ordered prefix beginning with an ace remains in place; the other cards are gathered and redealt. Before reshuffling, search for a move that extends one of those prefixes. Filling a gap in an isolated high-rank stretch may offer less lasting progress than adding one more card beside an ace.
