Vertical deals the entire deck into seven main columns and ten smaller lower piles. Remove exposed pairs of the same rank to clear every pile.
Two equal ranks, wherever they appear
Drag an exposed card onto another exposed card of equal rank. Suit and color do not matter. The seven main columns hold six cards each; the lower piles each hold one. Cards beneath a removed pair become playable. There is no stock, building sequence or empty-pile move.
A lower card may be the only available match for a main-column blocker. Before pairing two lower cards together, check whether either can open a column. If multiple pairs are possible, compare what lies beneath the cards you would remove.
