Mountains Golf uses 56 overlapping layout cards and two decks. Cards at the exposed edges open the routes to the deeper positions.
The route follows ranks, not suits
Play an uncovered card one rank above or below the target. Kings and aces connect, and the played card becomes your new target. Removing covering cards unlocks the positions beneath them. If you need a new target, draw from the 47-card stock; there is no redeal.
Check the next ridge before choosing
A legal move may stop immediately or start a chain across several exposed ranks. Compare both the continuation and the card it uncovers. Releasing a blocked middle position can make another mountain accessible. The aim is to clear all layout cards, so you may finish with stock cards still unused.
