Three aces start on their foundations. The ace of spades remains buried in the tableau, so its suit cannot start home until you release it.
Seven cells help reach the captive ace
- The 49 tableau cards are all visible across seven columns. There is no stock.
- Build down by suit. Ordered descending runs of one suit can move together.
- Only kings or king-led suited runs fill empty columns. Each reserve cell holds any one exposed card.
- Build each foundation upward by suit from ace to king, including spades once its ace is free.
Map the blockers before filling cells
Find the ace of spades and identify which runs above it already have receivers. Use cells for the cards that cannot move elsewhere, keeping a route to empty those cells again. Clearing another suit’s low cards can create room without spending all seven slots.
