Beetle starts with 44 visible cards across ten columns and four empty reserve cells. Six stock rows of ten supply the remaining sixty cards.
Mixed suits can join, but groups must match
- Build down by rank regardless of suit. Only descending suited runs can move together; any card or legal run fills an empty column.
- Each reserve cell holds one card. Stock rows do not require every column to be occupied.
- Win with eight complete suited king-to-ace runs remaining in the tableau and all reserve cells empty.
Give every parked card a receiver
Use a cell to separate a mixed run, then return its card when a suited receiver opens. Before dealing, check whether you can finish a run or release a cell; a fresh row will cover the current tableau tops. There is no redeal.
