Release the 13-card reserve, then finish all four foundations from ace to king. Only the top reserve card is available at any moment.
The reserve controls the board
Four tableau columns build down in alternating colors. Exposed cards and ordered alternating-color runs can move. Emptying a column brings in the next reserve card automatically; once the reserve is gone, any card or legal run can fill the space.
The 35-card stock draws one card at a time. You get three total passes: the initial pass and two redeals. Unlike some Canfield versions, this Demon uses ace-based foundations rather than a random starting rank.
Find a home for the reserve card
For a red nine, look for a black ten and work out how to expose it. Releasing that nine reveals a new reserve card and may start a chain of moves. While the reserve remains, do not count an emptied column as lasting storage—it will refill.
