Twenty single-card spaces form the carpet, with the four aces already on their foundations. The remaining 28 cards wait in a draw-one stock.
The carpet stores cards without building runs
Each space holds one card. You may move an exposed card into an empty space, but cannot place it on an occupied one or build sequences there. Empty spaces do not refill automatically. Foundations build upward by suit through king; the stock has no redeal.
A stored card should have a route home
Use a free carpet space to preserve a waste card you will need after its lower ranks appear. Before filling the last space, inspect which stored card can soon leave. Playing the waste can uncover an earlier card, so check that option before drawing and covering it again.
