Ten columns hold fifty visible cards; two more occupy reserve cells. Build four foundations from ace to king using the four single-card cells for temporary storage.
Only one suit fits
Tableau columns build downward by suit: the eight of clubs needs the nine of clubs. This version moves one exposed card at a time. To relocate several cards, find temporary legal positions and rebuild the sequence through individual moves.
- An empty tableau column accepts only a king.
- A reserve cell accepts any one card. Two cells begin empty.
- There is no stock or hidden card to wait for.
A column is not an extra free cell
Before clearing a column, identify a king that can use it. For other ranks, keep a reserve cell available. Inspect the two occupied cells early: releasing one gives you another place to park a blocker while reaching an ace.
