Cross Golf arranges 41 cards in an overlapping cross. The exposed positions are your starting choices; clearing them gradually opens the cards beneath.
Change direction whenever a rank allows it
Play a card one rank above or below the current target, regardless of suit. You may move upward and downward within the same chain, including king–ace connections. Each played card becomes the target. The ten-card stock supplies a new target when needed, with no second pass.
Look at what the intersection will release
A card near a busy overlap may unlock more choices than an isolated exposed card of the same rank. Compare those outcomes before starting a chain. Keep a playable continuation available when possible, but do not overlook a short route that opens a blocked arm. Clear the entire cross to win.
