Spidike combines rank-based tableau building with ordinary ace-to-king foundations. Seven columns begin as a fully visible staircase of 28 cards.
A mixed run needs separating
Build down by rank, regardless of suit. Only a descending run of the same suit can move together; a single exposed card can move on its own. Any card or legal run fills an empty column. Foundations accept individual cards in suit order from ace through king.
Use the space before the stock row
The remaining 24 cards arrive in rows of seven, with a partial final row and no redeal. You do not need a complete king-to-ace run before sending cards home. Look for low foundation cards you can release now: the next stock row may cover the receivers that make those moves possible.
