Pyramid Golf follows neighboring ranks, not pairs totaling 13. Play an uncovered card one rank above or below the target; its suit is irrelevant.
A layered board, a changing target
This version uses two decks and 65 overlapping cards, including the small groups beside the central layout. A covered card opens only when all cards overlapping it have been removed.
Each removal becomes the new target. Kings and aces connect, so queen–king–ace–two is a legal path. Drawing replaces the target; 38 stock draws remain after the opening target card, with no redeal. Clear the layout to win.
Look beyond the next rank
Two playable cards of the same rank lead to the same target, but may uncover different cards. Choose the one that opens a useful route through the layers. Before drawing, check whether a king–ace connection or a change of direction can extend your current run.
