Available ranks can lead in either direction
Choose an uncovered card one rank higher or lower than the target. Ignore suit, and allow king–ace links. The chosen card becomes the next target; removing its covering position may make another card available. Stock draws are single-use targets, with no redeal.
Bring another peak into the chain
If two equal ranks can move, favor the one that exposes a useful card on a less accessible peak. Clearing one summit completely may be less helpful than opening several paths across the layout. Before drawing, check whether you can reverse a rank chain and continue elsewhere. Every peak must clear to win.
