Aunt Mary Solitaire

Six columns of six cards open Aunt Mary, with fifteen cards hidden. The remaining sixteen form a draw-one stock that can be used only once.

A face-up group may move out of order

  • Place a card on the next higher rank of the opposite color. Any face-up card may lead a move, taking all cards above it even if they form an unordered group.
  • Only kings or king-led groups can fill an empty column.
  • Build four foundations upward by suit from ace through king. Hidden cards turn over when uncovered.

Give the carried blockers a destination

A group move can expose a hidden card quickly, yet its upper cards may still need separating. Check for their future receivers before moving. With no stock redeal, avoid covering an accessible waste card that could unlock a column now.
