Queen begins with a fully visible seven-column staircase of 28 cards. The other 24 arrive in rows from the stock, rather than through a waste pile.
A group does not have to be ordered
Place a face-up lead card on the next higher rank of the opposite color. Every card resting on that lead travels with it, even when their order is mixed. Only a king or king-led group can fill an empty column. Four foundations build upward by suit from ace through king.
Check what the moved group will cover
A group move can free a low card, but its carried blockers may need another receiver afterward. Plan that next separation before moving. Stock clicks add one card per column, ending with a partial row and no redeal. Use reachable foundation moves before the next row covers them.
