Spanish deals all 52 cards into thirteen visible columns of four. Its foundations build from ace to king by rank alone: suits and colors can mix there.
Rank controls both sides of the game
In the tableau, place an exposed card on the next higher rank, regardless of suit. Move one card at a time, and do not refill an emptied column. Start each of the four foundations with an ace, then add consecutive ranks upward through king. There is no stock or redeal.
Choose which copy releases the next rank
Any available two can follow any foundation ace. Use that freedom to remove the card blocking another useful rank, rather than automatically taking the easiest copy. Tableau moves can expose a needed foundation card, but they may also bury a lower receiver that cannot move as part of a run.
