Four aces sit in the center of Beleaguered Castle, with eight columns of six visible cards around them. There is no stock, hidden card or later deal.
Any suit can receive a lower rank
Move one exposed card onto the next higher rank, regardless of suit or color. Any card may fill an empty column. Runs do not move together, so transferring several ordered cards requires separate legal moves. Foundations build upward by suit from the aces through king.
A cleared column is working room
Find a foundation successor and trace the blockers above it. An empty column can hold a blocker that has no rank receiver elsewhere, letting you release the next card. Before filling that space permanently, inspect the other low cards that still need the same route. Win by sending every column card home.
