Thirteen columns of four deal the whole deck onto the board. Only their tops are visible, so every useful rearrangement can reveal a new card.
One exposed card moves at a time
Build down in alternating colors. You cannot carry a run together, even when its cards are in order. Any card may fill an empty column. Foundations start with aces and build upward by suit through king. There is no stock or redeal.
Use a space to separate blockers
An empty column can give a single card somewhere to wait while you release the card beneath it. Before using that space, identify a receiver that will let you move the parked card again. A move that uncovers a hidden card improves your information; a move that only shifts the same visible blocker may consume valuable room.
