Four aces begin on the foundations. The other 48 cards fill twelve visible columns; move them one at a time, building up or down within a suit.
Empty columns stay empty
A seven of hearts accepts either the six or eight of hearts. Ranks do not wrap, and a cleared tableau column cannot be refilled.
Four separate reserve piles accept kings first, then build downward by suit. Here they are temporary storage: cards can leave them, and you must eventually move every card onto the four ace-based foundations to win. This differs from Bisley versions where king piles count as finished foundations.
Do not clear your only receiver
Removing the last card of a column gives up that tableau position permanently. Before doing so, check whether its card is the only suited neighbor available for a blocked card.
A king reserve can release a column without using another tableau receiver. Plan how its lower cards will return to the ace foundation later.
