Four aces start the foundations. Eight columns of five visible cards form the tableau; two guard piles hold four cards each beside a shared cellar.
You can put cards in before you can take them out
The cellar accepts any exposed card and can hold a stack. Its top card can leave only when at least one guard pile is empty. Guard cards can move out, but their piles cannot receive cards back.
Plan the exit before using the cellar
- Build tableau columns up or down by one rank in the same suit. Move one exposed card at a time.
- Any card can fill an empty tableau column. Foundations build up by suit from ace to king.
- Start by finding a route for one guard pile. Parking blockers in the cellar may help, but covering a needed card there creates another task once the gate opens. There is no stock.
