Five columns begin with one card each. A separate single-card reserve accepts only a jack, queen or king, giving you one extra place for a face-card blocker.
Suits matter at home, not in the columns
Build tableau columns downward by rank regardless of suit or color. Move one exposed card at a time; any card can fill an empty column. The reserve cannot receive a second card until its current card leaves. Foundations build upward by suit from ace through king.
Give the parked face card an exit
The 47-card stock draws one card at a time with no redeal. Before occupying the reserve, check where its card can go later. Keeping a queen there may help expose an ace now, but you still need a king or an advancing foundation to release it. Use the current waste card before assuming another pass will bring it back.
